FinTech · Trading and hiring platform
Trader Portfolio Platform
A platform where traders learn, trade virtual money on live prices and compete in contests that employers run for prize money and a job. Every order feeds a trading CV, and employers hire on those numbers. I designed the product, its design system, the logo and brand, and the website.
- Role
- Product designer: product, design system, brand and website
- Users
- Traders and the employers hiring them
- Made
- Trading, trading CV, contests and jobs, academy, employer tools
- Platform
- Web app and mobile
A trader’s CV lists skills but can’t show a single trade. Employers hire on paper and find out on the desk.
I designed both sides around one idea: every simulated order becomes proof. Talents trade, learn and compete; employers run contests and hire on real numbers.
Web app and phone layouts, plus the logo, brand, design system and website. No usage numbers on this page.
The problem
Here talents trade virtual money on live prices, and every order joins a CV they apply with. Employers post jobs and run contests with their own rules, budget and prize, then hire the traders who rank best on the numbers that matter to the role.
- Asks
- “How do I get noticed without the right degree or network?”
- Gets
- Virtual money to trade, contests with a prize and a job, and a CV built from their own trades.
- Asks
- “Who actually trades well under pressure?”
- Gets
- Contests on their own rules, a live leaderboard and a match to the role.
- Asks
- “What should I learn next?”
- Gets
- Challenges picked from gaps in their own trading.
My part
I designed the product end to end: trading, the trading CV, contests and jobs, the academy and the employer tools. I also made the logo, the brand and the design system, and designed and built the website in Webflow.
How a trade becomes a job
Nobody writes the CV: the talent learns, trades and competes, and the platform keeps score.

Key decisions
The idea behind every decisionProof over claims: every number on a trading CV comes from a real order.
Trade from the first minute
Sign up and there is €100,000 of virtual money on live prices, so a talent trades on day one instead of filling in a profile. They split it into portfolios, one per strategy. Every order is logged, and the trading CV builds itself from it.

Learn the market, picked from your own trades
Short quizzes teach the market, how to trade, how to read a chart pattern and how to make a call before the price moves. The next lesson comes from the CV: a talent who lost 37% on one trade gets risk management, not another pattern. Finished challenges land on the CV with a verified date.

Contests and jobs on one board, entered with proof
Employers post jobs and run contests: same money, same market, their own rules, with prize money and a job for the best. Both sit on one board, sorted by fit. The page checks each requirement against the talent’s numbers first, so a gap becomes a next lesson, not a silent rejection. Entering is one sheet: what’s shared, what’s private, when consent ends.

Set the rules, the budget and the prize
An employer builds a contest the way a desk lead thinks: which market, how much virtual money, who may enter and what counts as good. The KPI weights become the leaderboard, and the prize, money and a job interview, is fixed before anyone trades. The side panel shows how many talents already qualify.

The leaderboard ranks by the employer’s KPIs
Everyone in a contest trades the same money, market and time limit. Ranking by return would reward the luckiest gambler, so the leaderboard ranks by the KPIs the employer set, and any two talents compare side by side before the prize and the interviews go out.

- A leaderboard sorted by return

From 36 applicants to one clear next step
Employers start from a pipeline, not an inbox. Each talent is matched against the open role’s own needs: requirements met, and the two numbers that desk asks first. Two people compare side by side, and every next step, rejection included, reaches the talent.
- Instead of
- An inbox of applications
- Chose
- A pipeline with the two key numbers per row

How success would be measured
- Qualified applicationsShare of applications that meet the job’s requirements.
- Time to decisionDays from the end of a contest to a hiring decision.
- Gaps closedTalents who close a requirement gap in the academy before applying.
What I’d change
-
Trading CV Eight tiles, one weight
The profile shows eight numbers at the same size. A max loss of −37% sits next to the hold time, yet risk is the first thing an employer asks about.
FixLead with one risk-adjusted score and the drawdown. The rest one click down.
-
Everywhere A Sharpe ratio is not a percentage
The design file shows “Sharpe ratio 0.28%”, volatility as “10.48 / n.v.”, and allocation labels like “SMO” and “Mbs”. Recruiters are not all traders.
FixRight units, plain words, and one line explaining each metric on hover.
Not mine: the trading engine and the market data underneath it.
About the screens: rebuilt in HTML from my Figma file. Trading (01), contests and jobs (05), creating a contest (06) and matching (08) are reconstructed with the app’s own components to show each process end to end. Trader names, employers and numbers are examples.
